1. SMI Participates in Health Services Delivery Forum:
Event: Interactive Session with NGOs and International Partners (IP) organized by the FCT Health Secretariat, Abuja.
Purpose: To discuss the health agenda of the Federal Capital Territory and ensure synergy between NGOs, IPs, and government agencies.
Key Focus Areas: Maternal and Child Health, Non-Communicable Diseases, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and other health concerns.
Outcome: NGOs, including SMI, committed to working as an advocacy group to refocus the activities of the FCT Administration.
Documentation: NGOs received a 62-page Strategic Health Development Plan (2010-2015) from the FCT Administration for review and advice.
2. SMI Supports "Miss NGO" Pageant:
Date: September 28th, 2011
Overview: Grand finale of the Miss NGO 2011 Pageant in Abuja, featuring performances and advocacy on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Pre-Event Activities: Ten-day camp for 13 contestants, focusing on MDGs, community development, management skills, and social psychology.
SMI's Role: Abuja SMI was invited to facilitate a session during the camp and undertook other key roles.

3. SMI Supports World Breastfeeding Week Activities:
Event: "A Baby Show" hosted by the Primary Health Care Development Board of the FCT, Abuja, as part of the 2011 World Breast Feeding Week.
SMI's Participation: As a special guest, SMI advised nursing mothers on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for at least six months.
