
Report by Adeshina John Matthew, Coordinator SMI Abuja, Nigeria SMI PARTICIPATES IN HEALTH SERVICES DELIVERY FORUM SMI Abuja was invited to an INTERACTIVE SESSION of all Non
Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and International Partners (IP) collaborating
with The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Health Secretariat, Abuja, Nigeria. The aim of the meeting was to intimate the NGOs and
IPs on the health Agenda of the Federal Capital Territory. The meeting holds quarterly to: The NGOs would be engaging with government and would collectively
work as an Advocacy group in refocusing the activities of the Federal Capital
Territory Administration. A copy of the FCTA strategic health development plan is attached below.
The events which began on the 19th September with ten
days camping of 13 contestants aims to synergize the effort of various NGOs in complimenting
the effort of government towards national At the camp the contestant were lectured on issues relating to the MDG, Community Development, Management Skill and Social psychology etc. The Abuja Sweet Mother International (SMI) was invited as a speaker to facilitate one of the session during the camping and among other key roles.
